After many years of hard work, learning the craft of tile masonry has given me a great appreciation for all the various materials we use to surface our environments. At 32 I began to make tile a vast, full time business and wonder full introduction to the construction industry.  I apprenticed under veteran tile installer in Seattle for several years so I could learn all the procedures of ceramic and stone tile installation. These few years were perhaps the most interesting because I really developed a love of the activity of completion, of doing site specific work and of problem solving . I gained valuable information at every step in the process. For the next several years I learned to install a variety of materials and developed a passion for blown glass and glass tile, furthering my career as a self employed tile-stone-glass installer. Enjoying the experience as a tradesman who is able to realize my goals, and to see them as an extension of my creativity.
 
More recently, Art Tile is focused on some of the more familiar projects include cement kitchen counters, glass tile back splashes, inside and outside flooring, feature walls, wainscoting, baths and shower surrounds, walk-in custom showers, patios and pool surrounds, stone cladding, fountain installation, fireplaces.  I am always open to expanding my repertoire of experience by taking on new projects. These can be tailored to fit your particular space and surroundings. Enclosing barbecues with stone or tile can beautify a plain outdoor grill. Outdoor showers, garden walls, mosaic address plates or signs and stone or tiled walk-ways/paths, birdbaths, are all examples of the variety of additions possible to your home environment. We can accomplish any of these ideas working with traditional masonry materials or alternative, green and recycled material. Think Green!
